Mr. Bobby Doran has personally contributed in the development of all of the training manuals and power point presentations to maximize the time-to-learn ratio to insure the best possible score on all certification tests.

Mr. Doran has been a master plumber for nearly 25 years and began his teaching career with Texas A&M University Engineering Extension Service. He quickly saw the need to enhance the teaching criteria from the point of view of a professional who has a vast array of hands-on experience. Thus, the prospective professional student will know that if he follows the P.C.E. guide he can expect to acquire more than the minimum information to maintain or apply toward that next professional credential.

2010/2011 Continuing Professional Education courses begin July 1, 2010 and end June 30, 2011. Class size is limited to 45 students, therefore, please allow adequate time for scheduling. To assure that you take the correct course for your renewal, refer to the chart below for expiration date compliance.

If your license expires:	Your 2010-2011 course can be taken between the following dates:
September 30, 2010	July 1, 2010 - September 30, 2010
October 31, 2010	July 1, 2010 - October 31, 2010
November 30, 2010	July 1, 2010 - November 30, 2010
January 31, 2011	July 1, 2010 - January 31, 2011
February 28, 2011	July 1, 2010 - February 28, 2011
March 31, 2011	July 1, 2010 - March 31, 2011
April 30, 2011	July 1, 2010 - April 30, 2011
May 31, 2011	July 1, 2010 - May 31, 2011
June 30, 2011	July 1, 2010 - June 30, 2011
July 31, 2011	July 1, 2010 - June 30, 2011 (or by correspondence between 7/1/2011-7/31/2011)
August 31, 2011	July 1, 2010 - June 30, 2011 (or by correspondence between 7/1/2011-8/31/2011)

IMPORTANT: If your license expires July 31, 2010 or August 31, 2010, you may only take CPE in the classroom until June 30, 2010 in order to qualify for renewal of your license. After June 30, 2010, you will need to take the 2009-2010 CPE course by correspondence. You may contact any of the CPE providers listed below to obtain a correspondence course after July 1^st.

Any license or endorsement holder who lives in a county having no city with a population in excess of 100,000, or resides out of state, or who submits written proof to the Board from a physician stating the medical reason that the licensee is unable to attend a CPE class, may fulfill the current year CPE requirements by completing a correspondence course approved by the Board. All others must fulfill the current year CPE requirements by completing a classroom course.

Six hours of CPE required for the renewal of Drain Cleaner, Drain Cleaner-Restricted and Residential Utilities Installer registrations, effective January 1, 2010

24 or 48 hours of classroom training required for Applicants for Tradesman Plumber-Limited and Journeyman Plumber examinations, effective February 1, 2010
